How do we know if BVD is in our herd?
A bulk milk test is a cheap, easy place to start. From there we can screen further and, if needed, hunt down any persistently infected animals driving it.
Is a BVD programme worth the cost?
For almost every herd, yes. The losses from BVD are mostly hidden in poorer fertility and production, so a modest testing and control spend usually pays back many times over.
Can you help with Johne's disease?
